Can you cover….?
The short answer is yes. As an independent agency we work with many different insurance companies. That means it’s very rare that we can’t find a company willing to cover whatever you are trying to insure.
When is my payment due?
How much do I need to pay?
Why did my payment go up?
All of these questions require a look at your policy. Please give us a call and we will look up your policy and give you an answer.
If I get in an accident, will you fix my car?
Not personally…. But seriously, that is the point of insurance. However, it will depend on what coverage you have chosen. The only car insurance required by the State of Washington is liability coverage. If you chose to stick with that – there is no coverage for your car. Liability only fixes the other guy’s car, not yours. (Even if you are in another state, the first coverage is always liability. So, this answer should work for other states as well. The only time a car insurance policy would not include liability is if the car is in storage. Then the car is protected for sitting there. But don’t drive it until you notify your agent!)
Is it covered if my house floods?
That depends. The general rule is – if water comes in from outside, it’s not covered. You would need a separate flood policy. But there are exceptions. If a tree fell on your house during a storm and rain came in before you could stop it, that would probably be covered. If someone left a hose on close to the house and water came in the basement window? Nope, won’t be covered. Also remember that maintenance issues wouldn’t be covered. Some policies have a little extra coverage for things like – sewer backup. There are enough possibilities and exceptions to make it worth a phone call to us to find out.
Will you fix my broken sewer pipe?
Probably not. Most of the time that is going to be a maintenance issue. There may be some coverage for cleanup if it broke or backed up into the house. That would depend on your policy and if you chose to pay extra for that coverage.
Will you fix my furnace?
Not if it is a maintenance issue. If a car ran into your house and damaged your furnace, your insurance should fix it. If your house has a fire that damages the furnace, that should be included in the claim.
Do you sell health insurance?
No. Health insurance is so different from other types of insurance that it needs a specialist. We have someone we can recommend.
Do you sell bonds?
Yes. All kinds.
Do you sell commercial insurance?
Definitely. What do you need?
Do you sell personal insurance?
Absolutely. What do you have?
When can you drop the SR22 on my auto insurance?
An SR22 is a requirement for your insurance company to notify the State that you have insurance and if the policy ever cancels. The State requires the SR22 and tells you when it can be dropped. Bear in mind that the State will not tell us when you can drop the SR22, they tell you. You must notify us. However, dropping a SR22 before the State says you can will result in your license being suspended.
Why do I not have towing if I have “full coverage?”
Ah, one of the stickiest questions we run into. Everyone has a different definition of “full coverage.” We recommend you ask us to go over every coverage possible. And if you have a question on some coverage, like towing or rental car reimbursement…. just ask.
Are my appliances covered under my homeowner’s policy?
They should be covered under the contents coverage. That does not mean they are covered for maintenance issues or old age. They must be damaged in a covered loss – like a fire or theft.
My boat…or ATV…or snowmobile…or motorcycle is covered under my Homeowner’s policy, right?
No, that’s unlikely. A canoe…maybe. It does not have its own motor but that would be determined by the insurance company. Ask! Other kinds of boats that have motors, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles all need their own policy.
We understand that it’s a pain trying to figure out what needs an insurance policy and what doesn’t. That’s why we are here. We ask questions about everything you own, and it may seem a little personal but that is so that we can help you determine what needs to be covered.
What if you have an old ATV and you don’t care if it gets totaled? You still need liability coverage. We had a situation where someone ran an ATV into a tree trying to avoid a dog.
(Please realize that running over the dog would have hurt not only the dog but likely the ATV driver as well. It is more likely that the driver could be thrown off the ATV going over an animal. In our situation the driver was not hurt running into the tree, only the ATV was damaged.)
But what if the ATV had run into a car instead? And I don’t mean a moving car, I mean a parked car. Now the driver/owner of the ATV is responsible for damage to the car. Or if you run over someone’s foot because they were being dumb? You are still responsible. That’s why you need liability coverage for your toy even if you don’t care if it is damaged.

All insurance coverages are subject to the terms, conditions and limitations of the actual policy.
